Why hate Raito Yagami?- He's not a god, he kills people. Yes, they're criminals, but giving them life in prison is one less life taken. Besides, the criminal's family wouldn't want their loved one to die. Why should killing someone who committed murder represent killing as a bad thing? It's just contradictory. No, I don't think criminals should be given 6 years or some stupid penalty that lets them go, but I don't think people should be killed for ANY reason (abortion doesn't count, sometimes that is necessary). In the second Death Note movie, Raito talked about the law having many faults. If he thinks there's something wrong with it, maybe he should try to change it so that criminals don't get away with murder, but don't have to be KILLED. It's sick and wrong. He's making himself JUST as bad as them.
