In Her Defence

1. She's in the way of L and Raito getting together.
Sorry to break it to you, but L and Raito don't want each other. Throughout the beginning of the series, all Raito is trying to do is KILL L. You can have your fandom all you want, but don't hate characters for such unrealistic reasons. First of all, she truly loves Raito so she deserves him. L only ever liked him as a friend. Second, Raito doesn't love Misa back, he doesn't even like her at all. Hence, if L and Raito actually did like each other, Misa wouldn't be stopping Raito from being with L (but she would probably kill L if that happened, now would you fangirls want that?)

2. She's a whore.
This is the WORST reason. It's the most INCORRECT thing I have EVER heard. I'm sick of hearing people with poor understanding of the English language say this.

1. a woman who engages in promiscuous sexual intercourse, usually for money; prostitute; harlot; strumpet.

In case you haven't noticed Misa's undying loyalty to Raito, she's the COMPLETE opposite of that. If you're talking about the, "I'll be a good girl and go to bed all on my own," or whatever, there's nothing wrong with having sex, as long as you're only having it with one person. Of course, Misa would only sleep with Raito. I don't see how she's a whore at all. Seriously, I hate prostitutes, I find them disgusting for not just finding one damn person. If Misa was anything close to a whore, I would hate her, too.

3. She's a slut.
Umm, any person who says this is insulting every Gothic Lolita. Gothic Lolitas are definitely very far from 'sluts'. Again, people really need to learn their English vocabulary.

Sometimes, however, when someone says 'slut,' they're referring to clothing. Wow, give her a break, she's a model and an actress. At least she's not doing nude shots like people from Hollywood.



4. She's to possessive/obsessive/jealous.
First, that's way better than someone who cheats on you constantly. Second, obsession is hard to control. When you're obsessed with someone you love, you often become possessive. It takes a lot of work to overcome obsession, and it's definitely not something someone chooses to be. About the jealousy, if you saw the person you love or even just have a crush on with someone else, how would you feel? I know I'd want the person they were with to drop dead. Geez, guys, forgive a girl for not being perfect, a few unattractive personality traits.

5. She's with my Raito!
Um...okay...he's NOT REAL. Is it Misa's fault you're not an anime character? No. This is pathetic. Honestly, find a better reason, if you can (I doubt it.)

6. She's an idiot.
Oh yeh? Then why, if Raito is so smart, did he not find Misa? She found him. It's not like she's oblivious to the fact Raito's using her, she just lets it be. She can come up with the odd plan at times (like getting Higuchi to confess) when no one can think of anything that pleases everyone's standards. Let's see you kill people and get away with it.
